JaxWraps uses 3M’s top-of-the-line adhesive back vinyl and laminate for vehicle wraps. 3M warrants the vinyl against failure for five years. The combined thickness of the vinyl and laminate is 4 mils, providing a protective layer impenetrable by UV rays. It protects the vehicle’s paint as if frozen in time. The 3M adhesive used during vehicle wrap is a re-positional adhesive related but not equal to the adhesive utilized on 3M’s Post It note product. The adhesive has time release attributes that increase adhesion. Initially, the vinyl can be put on and removed or repositioned. This level of adhesion lasts about 15 – 25 minutes. After thirty minutes the vinyl can be removed but not re-positioned.
